France Télévisions Presidency: Delphine Ernotte-Cunci wants to "go further" in the group's "digital transformation"

In her hearing with Arcom, broadcast this Tuesday, May 13, the president of France Télévisions, a candidate for a third term, reiterated her support for a holding company bringing together all public broadcasting, a "weapon of deterrence against privatization" according to her.

Her project is titled "Reconciliation," which has not failed to raise eyebrows among the unions at the major broadcaster (8,800 employees, €2.6 billion annual budget). On Monday afternoon, Delphine Ernotte-Cunci, who has been at the helm of France Télévisions for ten years, defended her candidacy for a third term before the Arcom (French Broadcasting Corporation). Before a panel of eight people, which must decide by May 22, the outgoing director of French public television, the clear favorite to succeed her, opened the ball ahead of the three other contenders for the crown: former LREM MP Frédérique Dumas, former deputy general director of France Télé's advertising agency, Irène Grenet, and communications specialist Jean-Philippe Lefèvre.
